Admissions Process
The application enrollment process for the 2024-2025 school year will begin in early January. Currently enrolled students and active church members are guaranteed a space in our preschool. Younger siblings of currently enrolled students and alumni will receive early consideration and may also apply early. Parents should complete the Application for Enrollment form and return the form with a check for $75.00 in order to secure their placements.
The registration committee will then process the applications from currently enrolled families, church members and siblings. Once placements have been made we will open up applications to new families seeking enrollment. If a class is over-subscribed, applications for that class will be considered in a lottery and date of application submission will be considered. Children not placed in a classroom will be added to a waiting list for that class. Placement letters will be emailed the following week. Typically, at that time, we will ask for a tuition security deposit to secure your child’s enrollment at GFUMP.
Classes & Tuition
Great Falls United Methodist Preschool operates from the day after Labor Day through two weeks past Memorial Day. We have programs for children aged 2-years through 5-years-old.
Our programs are offered 9:15 a.m to 1:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Standard hours for our preschool are from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. although your child’s day can be extended until 1:15 p.m. for an additional fee.

Over the years we have received so many wonderful letters and thank you notes from the parents of our preschoolers expressing their gratitude and fond memories of the experiences, education and friendships nurtured at GFUMP.

“What a wonderful year it has been! E has had such a wonderful experience…and has learned so much! It’s hard to know where to start. She has learned to write and draw pictures and is starting to learn to read. She counts and does dot-to-dot pictures and can find matching objects and patterns. She learned about ice and magnets and dinosaurs and different countries. Probably her favorite activity was dressing up and playing imaginative games with other children. The pageants were outstanding and we loved the patriotic songs and meal blessings. It’s hard to express how grateful we are that she was part of your class and was able to have all those amazing experiences. We thank you (all) for your patience, nurturing, creativity, energy, cheerfulness, and loving ways – you are outstanding teachers!”
“…Would like to thank you for giving W. a wonderful gift this year – a perfect start to his many years of education ahead. W. has just blossomed this year…not just in his ability to recognize letters, or counting, or days of the week…but in his enthusiasm for learning. He loves school! We are so proud of his accomplishments and development this year. We know it is due in large part to the hard work you’ve done and the love you’ve given him this year. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the preschool but we (and most importantly, W.) are excited to move on to the big world of kindergarten!”
“We used the Great Falls United Methodist Preschool for my youngest son and we very much liked it. The teachers were just great and P. enjoyed the school a lot. I felt that both teachers and the director paid a lot of attention to individual needs of a child and worked closely (and hard) with parents, too. It was hard to get in and it is important to apply early.”
“Thank you for loving my children. When we looked at schools, we looked for one where our children would feel loved and develop a love for school. The bells and whistles didn’t matter to me. A home away from home did. They have always felt your support and affection. J. has even learned to ask for help when he is troubled or hurt. He trusts you and loves you. I will miss the GFUMP family. It was our first “home” in Great Falls and still has very close friendships with the families we met in those first years.
